Paul Signac is one of the founders of pointillism, a neo-impressionist style in painting, when strokes are applied to the canvas with dots. Quai de Clichy. Gloomy Weather ”(1887) - during the Second World War, the work was stolen by the Nazis from the country house of the famous collector Gaston Levy. In July 2019, the German authorities returned it to the heirs of the French philanthropist.

Paul Signac was a French Neo-Impressionist painter known for his use of Pointillism, a technique where small dots of color are applied to create a larger image. While I don't have specific information on a painting titled "Pine in Saint-Tropez" by Paul Signac, it's possible that it could be one of his many works depicting landscapes with pine trees in the region of Saint-Tropez.

Signac was fascinated by the effects of color and light, and his paintings often captured scenes of the French Riviera.
